READING FC will be seeking to continue their journey in the EFL Trophy in their knockout tie with Brighton & Hove Albion U21s on Tuesday night.

Despite struggling in League One, the Royals have been in fine form in the EFL Trophy and have scored a hatful of goals in the competition.

Reading cruised through their group by thrashing Exeter City, Swindon Town and Arsenal U21s, scoring an astonishing 19 goals in three matches to top the group.

Ruben Selles’ side then squeezed past fellow League One side Charlton Athletic in the first knockout round.

Alfie May put the Addicks in front but Charlie Savage levelled the game with 10 minutes to go to take it to a penalty shootout.

The Royals were perfect from the spot, scoring all four of their kicks, while Joel Periera saved from May to help them to a 4-2 shootout success.
