A friendly one day game between Indian and Pakistani cricket teams created a close match and fun for lots of spectators.
The match at Hurst Cricket Club resulted in a win for the UK Pakistani over 50s team. They had set 232 runs for the Indian International cricket over 50s team to chase. India were all out for 223 runs.
Keen cricketer Manmohan Rawat, a member of the Indian team who were playing, also plays midweek cricket at Hurst.
After Sunday’s (June 23) match he said: “It was great fun, a very close match. We had lots of spectators, people were really enjoying it. It was a good game of cricket.”
Manmohan, 51, a member of Sonning Cricket Club playing in Thames Valley division 2, also plays for the Berkshire over 50s county team.
The Indian team is touring the UK for about two weeks. On Friday (June 28) they’re playing the Australian over 50s team at Gravesend in Kent.
