Woodley United missed the chance to regain top slot in the Combined Counties League Division One on Tuesday night.

Their opponents Langley, who had failed to record a single point in their opening three matches, earned a 1-1 draw.

On target in the first half for Woodley United was Troy Williams, with his fifth goal of the season.

Woodley United sit in third place, undefeated with 10 points from their opening four games, ahead of their trip to Amersham on Saturday where they face Sport London Benfica.

There was a reality check for Wokingham Town, who suffered a 3-0 defeat at Amersham Town.

Saturday’s result came after moral-boosting victories in their opening league and FA Cup matches this season.
