Wokingham is buzzing with activity heading into summer 2019. This trendy market town nestled in Berkshire, England boasts an impressive array of historic sites, dating back several centuries. The town was purportedly named after a Saxon chief, and underwent various changes over the years. Located a good hour’s drive west of central London, Wokingham is snugly located between Bracknell and Reading. This glorious English town features famous churches, fine manors, and many excellent schools. Over the years, Wokingham has made national headlines with its sports and leisure-related activities, various TV and entertainment attractions, and much more.

Preparations for summer 2019 are already well underway in Wokingham and surrounds. Let’s get things started with the boutique town centre which is currently underway in Wokingham. English towns are always looking to provide the most exciting ensemble of attractions to visitors. The Wokingham town council approved a budget of £117 million to establish a luxury-style town centre. With increasing competition from neighbouring towns in Bracknell and Reading, it comes as no surprise that the borough council is looking to fast-track a newly revamped town centre. Work is currently underway on phases 1 & 2 of the Carnival project, Elms Field, and Peach Place.

Residents and visitors alike will be pleasantly surprised with a full suite of upgraded features, the restored garage at Carnival Pool, and the renovations currently taking place at Peach Place, Broad Street, and Rose Street. Always looking to impress town residents Wokingham town council will be showcasing a cavalcade of new residential units for sale. While there is lots of competition in neighbouring towns vis-a-vis The Oracle in Reading, Westgate in Oxford, and The Lexicon, the Wokingham town council is seeking to create an entirely different user experience in the form of a boutique-style sojourn for shoppers. The upgrades to the town centre will serve as a magnet for luring people into town for special events, business conferences, and the market. These renovations certainly look like a great enticement for the summer season.

Entertainment Attractions in Wokingham
