A concert at the Abbey to raise funds for refugees

READING Phoenix Choir will perform a special concert of choral music in the beautiful setting of Douai Abbey.

Funds raised by the concert will go to Refugee Support Group, a charity that helps refugees to rebuild their lives in Berkshire.

Reading Phoenix Choir performs its concerts mostly a capella.

It started in 1969, since when the award-winning group has toured and performed extensively in the UK and Europe.

Refugee Support Group has been helping refugees in Berkshire since 1994.

The award-winning charity supports refugees from more than 50 countries who have escaped war, violence, persecution and modern slavery.

Refugee Support Group provides a safe space, advice, practical support and social activities.

The Reading Phoenix Choir concert will take place at Douai Abbey, in Upper Woolhampton, near Thatcham.

The event starts at 7.30pm on Saturday, September 24.

Tickets cost £10, under 16s enter free of charge.
