The future of Wokingham continues to look healthy, with one of the town centre’s newest businesses, The Wellness Clinic Wokingham, proving a success with its offer of private health and wellbeing services.
The Wellness Clinic at Elms Field has a goal of making people feel better both mentally and physically as quickly as possible and enabling them to live their best life.
Since opening at the end of last year, the clinic has already gained five-star reviews from residents, with comments praising the range of services, excellent services, and the wonderful, efficient and helpful team.
A range of health and wellbeing services are available, including private GP services, vitamin therapies, ear wax micro-suctioning, blood testing, allergen testing and GP-led aesthetic treatments, including botox, dermal fillers and skin treatments with Dr Cat.
Private health checks and specialist clinics are also available, including ones for general wellness, the menopause, men’s health, seniors health, weight management and a travel clinic where residents can discuss their destination and organise to get the vaccinations they will need.
“It’s great to see fantastic new businesses opening in the town centre and it shows a confidence in the local area as the place they want to be.” said Cllr David Cornish, executive member for business and economic development.
“It’s independent businesses that really makes the town stand out, and something we’re keen to support.
“The Wellness Clinic is a great example of this, as the offer has been tailored to meet local health and wellbeing needs and is already getting rave reviews from those who have accessed their services.
“I’m looking forward to working with more of our independent businesses in the coming months as we work with them on our new Town Centre Strategy, which aims to identify things that the council can do to help bring about the town centre of the future and create a vibrant space.”
Graham Pope, managing director of The Wellness Clinic Wokingham, said: “We are so pleased to be working in partnership with our local community in Wokingham.
“Since we opened our doors in November, the support and interest that the residents of Wokingham have shown in our services has been amazing.
“We are already seeing positive change in our clients, whether that be the early diagnosis and detection of serious illness through our extensive blood testing programme, or increases in energy levels and immunity through our vitamin therapies.
“The feedback we are receiving from our clients just confirms that we absolutely made the right decision to provide these services in the borough, particularly at a time when many people feel that timely access to frontline services is becoming increasingly difficult to attain.”
The Wellness Clinic is based on Elms Walk, part of Wokingham Borough Council’s Elms Field town centre regeneration, in the unit formerly occupied by the Vale Clinic podiatrist which recently expanded into larger premises at Peach Place.
The clinic is open Monday to Friday from 9am until 5.30pm, and on Saturdays (from 9am until 12 noon). Appointments can be booked online or by phone on (0118) 304 4909.
