ROWS of luxury supercars glistened in the late summer sun outside L’Ortolan as part of a special charity day at the Shinfield restaurant on Wednesday (23).
The eight supercars, including a McLaren 650s, Aston Martin N430 and a Lamborghini Huracan, were the prize of 30 guests who had donated money to drive the cars and enjoy a three-course lunch, champagne and canapés at the Michelin-starred restaurant.
The event was held in aid of the John Sykes Foundation, which supports individuals in and around the area through grants to help them achieve their goals, raising more than £1,800 for the charity.
Andrew Strong, Trustee from the charity said “We are absolutely delighted that L’Ortolan have agreed to support us, this is a prestigious event that we are proud to be part of knowing that the funds raised will make a real difference to the individuals we aim to support, thank you to everyone who has made today very special for all those involved.”
Sally Albin, Marketing Director for L’Ortolan said “The day has been a huge success and our guests thoroughly enjoyed the unique opportunity to not only drive but see so many supercars up close. The atmosphere was relaxed with a blend of excitement and enthusiasm which made the day complete.”
The supercars were provided by local car dealerships HR Owen, Ascot McLaren, Lancaster Jaguar, Inchcape BMW and Tesla.
