Another business is set to leave Wokingham – the fourth in little over three weeks.
Independent children’s clothes retailer This Little Piggy in Elms Walk has announced it will be relocating to Moss End Garden Centre in Warfield in February.
Late last year the business launched a petition to ‘Save This Little Piggy’, citing an “.. ongoing roadworks” that had a “huge impact on footfall.”
The owners also said they were facing a 35% rent increase.
Mark Ashwell, Wokingham borough council’s executive member for business development, told Wokingham Today: “I wish this business well, having given our very best efforts to support them.
“We have a lot of interest in this prime location.
“I look forward to welcoming a new member of our town centre business fraternity.”
The business moved into the town centre in March 2020, having relocated from Holme Grange craft village.
It said it will close its doors in Wokingham at 5pm on Saturday, January 31, and reopen at its new location on February 7.
