BINFIELD FC picked up three trophies at the 2018 Bracknell Football Awards.

Hosted by Sky Sports News presenter Tom White at Binfield’s Hill Farm Lane, 11 awards were handed out at the event run by Football in Bracknell with The Wokingham Paper’s own Tom Crocker collecting the trophy for ‘Best Social Media’ for @WokinghamSport on Twitter.

Binfield won the award for the best ground while James Knight was named joint player of the season with Bracknell Town’s Joe Grant and Rob Challis picked up the trophy for outstanding contribution to local football.

Woodley United Ladies’ management duo Marc Surtees and Nuno Antunes were named manager of the year after guiding their side to promotion and also embarking on two good cup runs.

Other winners included Steve Kay of Berks County for volunteer of the season while Ollie Kaya was named referee of the season and long-serving Sunday League referee Barry “The Book” Haslewood won a special service to the game gong.
