WOKINGHAM Film Society is excited to announce that a BAFTA nominated screenwriter will join them in-person at their next event.
The group is delighted to welcome locally-born James Cummings, who will take part in a question and anwer session at their screening of Boiling Point (15).
The film, shot in a single take with no cuts, combines excruciating tension, humour and a unique insight into the pressure realities of running a restaurant.
The original film went on to spawn a TV series sequel.
Boiling Point stars Stephen Graham, probably one of the busiest TV and film actors of the moment.
He plays Andy Jones head chef at a top London restaurant, who is battling debts, addiction and an imploding personal life.
The pressure is already on, but then health and safety services unexpectedly show up for inspection.
With an ensemble cast on superb form, say organisers of the club, this is not a film to miss.
Boiling Point will be shown at The Whitty Theatre, Luckley Road, on Thursday, November 7, at 7:30pm.
Doors open at 6:45pm, and all are welcome.
Tickets are available, costing £6.50, or £4 for members.
