POLICE have arrested a Berkshire man on suspicion of terrorism offences.
The 52-year-old was taken into custody around 4.20pm on Friday, September 13, under section 58 of the Terrorism Act and detained under PAC.
The arrest was made by officers from Counter Terrorism Policing South East (CTPSE) and he has been released on bail.
In a statement, the CTPSE said that its officers are continuing to search a Maidenhead home and are being supported by specialist units, including a EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) team.
They added that there is no immediate risk to the public and that police are working with partner agencies to ensure necessary safeguarding assessments are conducted.
