A POTENTIAL black panther sighting in Staffordshire caused quite the stir among national news outlets last week.
The creators of Amazon Prime’s new documentary ‘Panthera Britannia Declassified’ got their hands on the clearest ever picture of a big cat in the British countryside, with the creature sighted in the long grass Smallthorne, Stoke-on-Trent.
Over the past few weeks, Wokingham Today has been made aware of a larger than normal number of big cat sightings across the borough, with residents taking to social media to document them.
Shinfield resident Pat McLintock posted a picture of a creature she described as ‘much larger than a domestic cat’ and which carried itself more like a larger cat.
She also noted downward whiskers and stripes around the tail.
