Wokingham Lions club has issued a call for schools to take part in this year’s swimathon.
With SATS, GCSE’s and A-levels soon to be a distant memory, and just a few short weeks before the summer holidays, Wokingham Lions Club think it’s time to have some fun.
It is looking for teams to represent schools at this year’s Wokingham Lions Swimathon.
It’s taking place at the Wokingham leisure centre pool on Wednesday, July 18, and it’s a great way to round off the academic year.
The swimathon is a genuine opportunity for schools to raise money for themselves. It costs £30 to enter a team of up to eight persons, aged 8 or over, and every penny raised is kept by the participants..
The swimathon is not a race, in fact it welcomes swimmers of all abilities. Each team can set their own challenge.
It’s a fun, safe event where you can enjoy time in the pool with your friends and raise money for your school.
There are still spaces available. Visit www.wokinghamlions.org/swimathonand take advantage of this amazing fundraising opportunity.
Wokingham Lions Club would like to thank Places Leisure for their support and Clifton Ingram for sponsoring the Wokingham Swimathon.
