RESIDENTS and guests at a Wokingham residential home were treated to a lively afternoon of music and entertainment.
Regular performer Gary entertained an audience at West Oak Care Home with a nostalgic set of Country and Rock ‘n’ Roll classics.
His repertoire included hits from musical legends such as Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Dean Martin, and Andy Williams, sparking smiles, clapping, and plenty of sing-alongs throughout the home.
The highlight of the afternoon came with Gary’s rendition of Elvis Presley’s Can’t Help Falling in Love, which had residents joining in with enthusiasm, after which, guests were able to enjoy light refreshments.
General Manager Abdul Rifai said: “Our residents and guests had a wonderful day singing along with Gary.
“At West Oak, we are dedicated to offering a wide range of activities and entertainment as part of our lifestyle enrichment programme, and this event was truly one of our favourites.”
One resident reflected on the afternoon, saying: “I haven’t heard some of these songs in many years.
“The classics never go out of style.”
