THE Chelsea Ladies Football Club had a day of relaxation and recuperation at Sindlesham’s Nirvana Spa last week.
The team, which are currently sitting at the top of the Women’s Super League table, enjoyed the spa’s opulent surroundings and luxurious treatments on Monday.
Following a string of successful fixtures, which has seen the team soar ahead of nearest rivals Manchester City Women, the players visited the Mole Road spa along with their physiotherapist Lorna Collins for a day of pure indulgence and rehabilitation.
Midfielders Jenna Dear and Millie Bright took a plunge in the Celestial Floatation pool, a unique experience which allows users to float through the dense, salt-enriched waters to help relax tired muscles.

Teammates Hannah Blundell, Drew Spence, Gemma Davison and Fran Kitching later joined the ladies for their full 45-minute floating experience.
Defender Niamh Fahey and midfielder Laura Coombs soaked up the sun on the terrace while enjoying a spot of tea and cake.
Laura said: “It’s been a great day, we’ve had all sorts of treatments, I’ve got a Swedish massage next which I’m really looking forward to.”
Striker and England regular Eniola Aluko said: “I’ve had a fabulous day at Nirvana Spa and the floatation was amazing – I really do feel so much more relaxed after some really hard matches.
“The water massage bed was a fantastic experience and I even found the time to enjoy a little TLC at an ESPA Skincare workshop – my skin feels so soft.
“The staff were very attentive and made us all feel very pampered. I will definitely be coming back!”
