RESIDENTS of a Woodley care home enjoyed a feast of cones and crooners at a community fun morning.
Staff at the Fosters Extra Care scheme supplied the ice cream while wedding singer, Marcus Boll, melted his audience’s hearts with love songs by Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.

Stephen Conway, chair of Loddon Homes which runs the Woodley centre, said the event was an opportunity for the 34 residents to get together with staff as well as their Wokingham Borough Council Housing Officer.
“It was lovely to see our residents enjoying themselves, singing along to a selection of tunes from the 50s and 60s, and enjoying their ice creams.

“We’re very proud of the community at Fosters and it’s a pleasure for us to hold this event.”
Giving the morning big licks were (l to r) Rita Sheppard and Pat Brennan.
