Bracknell Forest Mayor Cllr Naheed Ejaz, former professional cricketer Iain Sutcliffe, and James Sunderland MP joined Crowthorne residents at the Morgan recreation ground on Friday to mark the opening of a new exercise track.
Cllr Ejaz said “It is a great new facility that’s ideal for families with little ones learning to ride bikes and scooters.”
Mr Sutcliffe added that he would have loved a similar set up when he was a child and teenager.
He said: “Just three laps clocks up 1 km, and five laps is about a mile so it is easy to incorporate into an exercise routine.”
After the ribbon cutting, pupils from Wildmore Heath School, The Ark and Crowthorne Preschool jogged or walked around the route before claiming it to be “tracktastic”.
The installation of the exercise track is part of a CIL funded project to improve facilities.
