At 7:50am on Tuesday, January23, Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue received reports of an incident on Barge Lane near Swallowfield.
A crew from Whitley Wood Fire Station was sent to the scene.
A spokesperson said: “Upon arrival, the crew discovered a vehicle stranded in water.
“Whilst the driver and four dogs were able to self-evacuate, firefighters rescued a fifth dog from the car before handing the scene over to Thames Valley Police.
“The crew was at the scene for approximately 13 minutes.”
