PUPILS at a school in Crowthorne celebrated their last week before half term by learning about different cultures through art.
Children at Hatch Ride Primary School, in Hatch Ride, learnt about cultures from every continent, before creating special pieces of artwork.
Parents were invited into the school to share their cultural skills, such as teaching the children Swahili and also how to perform African dances.
One group of children were treated to a lesson on a didgeridoo, while others tried their hand at drawing an owl monument which had recently been created for the school.
Headteacher Tracy Frackelton said: “We have had a lot of fun, there’s been a real buzz around the school throughout the week and everyone has been so excited.
“The children have all produced some really lovely pieces of art which we have proudly displayed around the school.
“It’s been lovely to celebrate art and celebrate diversity from around the world.”
