Andre Garcia has completed a move from Reading FC to Belgian side Club Brugge, bringing an end to an 11-year association with the Royals.
The left-back/midfielder, who came through Reading’s academy, made 56 senior appearances for the club and was a regular presence across several seasons, progressing from youth football to the first team.
Garcia confirmed his departure in an emotional message to supporters, thanking those who played a role in his development both on and off the pitch.
“11 years. 56 appearances. Endless memories,” he said.
“Thank you to everyone at Reading FC – coaches, staff, teammates and supporters – for playing a huge part in my journey and for making me the player and human I am today. I am grateful for everything Reading FC have done for me. Proud of what’s been and excited for what’s ahead.”
The move to Club Brugge represents a step in Garcia’s career, with the Belgian club regularly competing in European competitions and known for developing young talent.
