Woodley’s treat for gardeners
Woodley Town Centre will be a gardeners’ paradise on Monday as its holds a flower and gardening day.
Running from 11am to 3pm, there will be opportunities to purchase plants, cuttings, and other greenery as well as picking up tips from stallholders and greenfingered friends.
The centre will also host its regular market on Saturday and a boot fair on Sunday, from 8am.

Crowthorne’s fantastic may fair
Head to Crowthorne and you can enjoy the annual May Fair on the Morgan Recreation Ground (pictured above).
Starting at noon, there are more than four hours of fun to be had. Atrractions include traditional stalls such as the lucky spinner and a Mr Men ‘coconut’ shy.
Live entertainment will take place throughout the event including Sandhurst Community Brass Band, Yateley Morris Dancers, EBOS singers, the Dani Harmer Dance Academy, the Legacy Allstars cheerleading group and the Laura Henderson Dance Academy.
Teenagers are invited to join a graffiti artist, enjoy a dunk tank and take part in a tug of war contest.
Refreshments can be found in a beer tent, in the tea tent and there will be also be hotdogs.
Green fingered gardeners will also be able to enjoy browsing through a plant stall.
The event is organised by St John The Baptist Church in Waterloo Road and is one of its major fundraising events, with profits split between the church and the charities it supports.
Best in dog show at the Bird in Hand
The Bird in Hand pub in Knowl Hill will be going to the dogs this May Day holiday Monday.
The Bath Road venue is holding a charity dog show from noon to 4pm.
As well as finding out who is top dog, the event promises fun for all the family including a beer tent, a barbecue and a tombola. Children will enjoy a bouncy castle and face painting.
Money raised from the day will go to Twyford Charities Together.
Entry is £2 per adult while children and dogs get in free.

Winkfield Row’s May Fair
Winkfield Row is hosting its very own May Fair on Monday.
Organisers are promising fun for all the family, including craft stalls, tombolas, maypole dancing, a Pimms tent, farmyard animals, birds of prey, small funfair and more.
It will be held at Carnation Hall in Chavey Down Road, Winkfield from noon until 4.30pm.

A treat for food fans
Foodies will be in heaven when they visit Mapledurham over the weekend.
The Love Food festival runs from Saturday to Monday at Mapledurham House, just off the A4074.
