ENTRIES are wanted for this year’s Wokingham in Bloom contest.
And organisers say it doesn’t have to be a massive garden: it could be a window box or a planter that is entered into the annual competition.
But gardeners need to be quick to enter as the closing date for registrations is Friday, June 21. Judges from Wokingham Horticultural Society will then be visiting the entrants over the final days of June before making their decisions. The event is sponsored by Wokingham Town Council.
Categories include a front garden, a back garden, window boxes and containers, window boxes and containers managed by people with disabilities, and residential care homes.
A spokesperson said: “Many of us enjoy a bit of gardening, or creating a lovely colourful display through window boxes and planters. If you have a front or back garden, boxes and planters you are proud of, why not enter the Wokingham in Bloom ‘Greenfingers’ Gardening Competition?”
Entry forms can be requested from marketandbloom@wokingham-tc.gov.uk or can be collected from The Information Centre in the Town Hall.
