THERE are plenty of options for children looking for outdoor action during the May half term holiday.
Dinton Activity Centre offers a range of water sports and land events from Monday, May 27.
Children aged eight to 13 can enjoy a range of activities at Wild Days Holiday Club, with half day activity sessions led by experienced instructors.
There are four activities per day – two per session, giving youngsters a range of sports to choose from, including paddle boarding, and kayaking on Black Swan Lake, orienteering, shelter building and Jacob’s Ladder.
Morning and afternoon sessions are different, making it possible to book a whole day if wished, with lunch cover provided.
Sessions cost £32 per child per morning or afternoon session.
Teen Adventures, new this year, is for ages 14 to 17.
It offers a variety of land and water activities with a twist to add thrills and adventure.
Participants can take aim at the archery range, learn advanced bushcraft skills, and experience high ropes activities.
Three hour sessions take place each morning from 9.30am until 12.30pm, and in the afternoon from 1.30pm until 4.30pm, costing £32 per child per session.
Sailing Weeks Holiday Clubs are suitable for eight to 17 year olds, with all ability levels welcomed and no prior experience necessary.
Youngsters can work through the Royal Yachting Association Youth Sailing Scheme, with levels for beginners and intermediates, and options for advanced sailors.
They take place over four or five days, starting at 9.30am or 10am, depending on the level, and finishing at 4.30pm.
Places for all ages and abilities cost £324 per child per week.
Boat Hire:
Boats and watercraft such as pedalos, paddleboards and canoes are available for hire.
Each booking lasts 30 minutes, and children aged two or above can board with an adult.
