Police officers were called to reports of a fight inside the Post Office in Wokingham town centre last Friday afternoon.
An eyewitness told Wokingham Today that four police vehicles were seen outside WH Smiths in Market Place following the incident at around 3pm on April 12.
The Post Office is located within WH Smiths.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police confirmed it had received a report of an altercation in which a man was assaulted.
“It is not believed he was seriously injured.
“We are investigating this incident and no arrests have yet been made.”
WH Smiths and the Post Office did not respond to a request for comment prior to publication.
