The first residents have moved into their new homes at Bovis Homes’ Buckler’s Park in Crowthorne.
The house builder has completed construction of four properties at the development, with a further two due next month which is part of a wider new neighbourhood on the former Transport Research Laboratory site off Nine Mile Ride.
Bovis Homes is building 85 two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom properties, as well as providing public open space and a children’s play area.
The wider scheme has outline planning permission for up to 1,000 new homes, a country park and community facilities.
Amber Bowley, regional sales director for Vistry Thames Valley, said: “Building work is progressing well at our Buckler’s Park development in Crowthorne, and it’s great to see customers moving into their new homes already.
“Buyers here love Buckler’s Park stunning parkland surroundings, with scenic walks, cycle routes and adventure play areas within the wider neighbourhood here.
“It’s also only a half-hour walk into Crowthorne village, while Wokingham town centre is just four miles away, meaning that a wide range of amenities for day-to-day living are within easy reach.
“Now some of the new homes are finished, people can begin to see what the development will look like when it’s complete.
Bovis Homes’ Buckler’s Park location is the fourth residential phase of the project to transform the former Transport Research Laboratory land, which was used for vehicle testing, research and developing innovations – such as the mini-roundabout and cycle lanes – to improve Britain’s roads and transport from the 1960s.
Bovis Homes is part of the Vistry Group along with Linden Homes and Countryside Homes.
