FIVE homes have been raided in the Winnersh and Woodley areas: now police are appealing for help in a bid to catch the thieves.
Thames Valley Police said that the five burglaries are thought to be connected and took place between Wednesday, June 12 and Tuesday, June 25.
In each case the thieves took Asian gold.
The offenders forced entry to the rear of the properties and are believed to be travelling in a black Vauxhall Astra with roof bars and a black Renault Kadjar.
- The first incident occurred on Wednesday, June 12, sometime between 7am and 5.30pm in Sonning Meadows, Woodley.
The second incident took place on Saturday, June 15, around 9.50pm in Danywern Drive, Winnersh.
- The third incident took place on Thursday, June 20, around 12.30pm in Delane Drive, Winnersh.
- The fourth incident occurred on Monday, June 24, sometime between 7.15am and 5.45pm on Henley Road, Winnersh.
- The fifth incident took place on Reading Road, Winnersh, sometime between 5pm on Monday, June 24 and 7am on Tuesday, June 25.
Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Terry Dixon based at the Loddon Valley Investigation Hub, said: “I am appealing for any witnesses who may have seen or heard anything unusual around the time of these incidents to come forward.

Residents can take steps to protect their property as follows:
- Store all high value jewellery in a hidden safe.
- You should be discrete when wearing expensive jewellery out in public.
- Be cautious about showing any valuable items in pictures on social media.
- Ensure that your jewellery is adequately insured.
- Photograph each piece of jewellery being worn to prove that it belongs to you.
