A sporting encounter took place for the first time in more than 25 years on Sunday.
The two teams that call Emmbrook Sports and Social Club their home – Wokingham Town football club and Emmbrook & Bearwood cricket club – took to the field in a post-Christmas football friendly at Lowther Road.
The traditional encounter was a regular festive tradition in the past.
Unsurprisingly, the team representing the football club ran out 5-1 winners.
Proceeds from the match were donated to the fund in memory of former football club boss Clive McNelly who died earlier in the month.
