THE former NatWest building in Twyford has been sold at auction.
The property went under the hammer at an auction in London yesterday (Monday) held by Lambert Smith Hampton.
The two-storey building, located on the corner of Church Street and London Road, came to auction with a guide price of £225,000.
According to the auctioneer, the 1,047sq ft (97.34sq m) property attracted a lot of pre-auction interest, resulting extremely competitive bidding in the auction room.
The lot eventually sold for £450,000. It is not known who the winning bidder was or what they intend to do with the property.
The bank closed on November 16, 2015 and has remained vacant ever since.
