Former Reading FC player and academy graduate Tom McIntyre has made a return to League One just a year after leaving Reading.
Academy graduate McIntyre made a switch to Portsmouth last January for a fee of just £50,000, but has now left on loan to join Charlton.
Despite Pompey winning promotion to the Championship, McIntyre was sent off on his debut for the club and then suffered a season ending injury.
He has made a total of 10 Championship appearances for relegation battling Portsmouth this season but has struggled for form which has seen him lose his spot in the squad.
He now joins League One Charlton Athletic for the rest of the season.
Nathan Jones’ side are currently in 7th spot on the same points as Reading, only ahead on goal difference.
