Oakman Inns were the previous operators of The Rose Inn in Market Place until selling the historic property in Market Place earlier this year.
Earlier this week, administrators PwC confirmed that six of its venues had closed with the loss of 159 jobs.
In a statement, Ross Connock, joint administrator at PwC, said: “The hospitality sector continues to face significant and persistent challenges, including a reduction in customer numbers, which has been driven by changing consumer habits and broader economic pressures.
“In addition, operators are contending with rising operating costs, such as increased energy prices, higher food and beverage costs and wage inflation.”
Hospitality firm McMullen and Sons have been operating The Rose since purchasing the business earlier this year.
