In a great night at the Madejski Stadium, the Royals comfortably beat Plymouth Argyle 2-0 to progress to the next round of the League Cup.
They won thanks to first-half goals from Joey van den Berg and Roy Beerens.
Just under 7,000 people watched the thrilling match – the second win on the trot for Royals, ensuring that Japp Stamm’s new era has got off to a flying start.
