STUDENTS at Edgbarrow School collected their GCSE results on Thursday morning.
Candidates achieved a 4 or higher in 83% of all exams, with 80% of pupils receiving a 4 or higher for both English and Maths.
The school took to social media to commend its students’ efforts with a post which read: “Congratulations to all the Year 11 students at Edgbarrow School who received their GCSE and vocational results today.
“The students have shown huge resilience and dedication through a challenging period and we are delighted that these grades will help them to take their next steps in education.
“We are extremely proud of the young people they have become and cannot wait to hear about their future success.”
Edgbarrow also thanked members of staff and students’ families for supporting its Year 11 cohort.
