CHILDREN visiting a borough sports centre’s soft play area didn’t realise that they would also be attending a birthday party.

Wokingham Leisure Centre marked the occasion of its first anniversary with a cake and ca

ndles and invited the youngsters to join in the festivities.

Tony Penge, Contract Manager at Leisure Connection Ltd, celebrated with his Wokingham Leisure Centre team, along with families enjoying the centre’s facilities.

The children had been enjoying bouncing on the centre’s inflatables, at a session called Active Play And Bounce, but they gathered enthusiastically around the birthday cake.

Mr Penge explained that the activity is available every day during the school holidays, for children aged four to 12.
