Plants from Hare Hatch Sheeplands were chosen for inclusion in a show garden at this year’s prestigious RHS Chelsea Flower Show.
They were Agarves, a succulent with rosettes of narrow spiny leaves and tall flower spikes, which are native to the southern US and tropical America.
Rob Scott from Sheeplands is the proud holder of a range of succulents which have National Collection status and he was asked to supply the plants for the VTB Capital Spirit of Cornwall garden.
This has been inspired by the work of sculptor Barbara Hepworth and developed by Stuart Towner who said: “The Sheeplands Agarves look so big in the garden and I am delighted to feature them in view of their rarity and the fact that they are English grown.”
Mr Scott said: “It is an honour to have been asked to provide these plants and reflects very favourably on the quality of the plants we grow here.”
