FAMILIES can enjoy a day out in August, with plenty to keep youngsters busy.
The Ollie Young Foundation’s summer fun day promises inflatables, face painting, stalls and games.
The annual event also boasts live entertainment and a licenced bar.
The charity, which raises funds for research into prevention and cure for children’s brain tumours, was founded by the parents of five year old Ollie.
The youngster was diagnosed with a brain tumour and died in 2012.
His parents set up OYF in their son’s memory, determined to help other children and their families.
Ollie loved to have fun, so every year, the foundation holds an entertaining and affordable day out for families to enjoy.
Ollie’s mother, Sarah Simpson, said: “We would love to hear from people willing to volunteer on the day.
“Our supporters are the backbone of our event and we couldn’t go ahead without them.
“We’d be delighted to hear from more stall holders, too, whether they are crafty, small businesses, or food stalls.”
Due to a change in licensing laws, Ms Simpson says the charity is no longer able to offer free entry to the event.
“We’re totally gutted about this,” she said, “but we have tried to keep the cost as low as possible.”
The fun day takes place at Reddam House, Sindlesham, on Sunday, August 13.
Gates are open from 11am until 5pm.
Entry costs £1 per car.
Funds raised by the event will go to support OYF.
Ollie Young Foundation thanks its sponsors: JT Productions, Wokingham Chiropractic Centre, 1st Woosehill Scouts, Wokingham Festival, the Hawthorns School PTA, Rapid Hire Centres, and Jay Printers.
