The Emm Brook is expected to remain on flood alert overnight.
Water levels within the borough, according to the latest update, are said to be higher than normal for this time of the year, and the flooding of low-lying land and roads is possible.
The alert was first issued late on Friday afternoon and has remained in force since as heavy rain has fallen over the borough during the day, with more expected this evening.
A summary which accompanied the alert on www.gov.uk/flood, says: “Levels on the Emm Brook are slightly higher than normal for this time of year, especially in the Wokingham area.
“Flooding of low-lying land and roads is possible.
“Levels are stabilised, but with rain showers this evening and overnight, the river levels are forecast to rise again over the next 24 hours.”
The flooding of property is not expected.
Showers, some of which may become heavy, are forecast this evening, but the conditions will become drier after midnight.
Some rain is expected too on Sunday, although it will remain dry for most of the day.
