Hockey round-up: Sonning 1s and South Berkshire 1s locked at the summit

South Berks Ladies 2s v Oxford Ladies 2s

South Berkshire Ladies 2s dropped to ninth position in the Trysports Premier Division 2 as third place Oxford University put three goal past them without reply. 


South Berks Ladies 2s v Oxford Ladies 2s

South Clubs Women’s Hockey Division 3A

Sonning Ladies 1s dropped down to fourth as a narrow 1-0 defeat at home to Hampstead and Westminster Ladies 3s saw them lose just their second match of the season. 

Trysports Premier Division

South Berkshire Ladies 1s fell to their fourth league defeat of the season as they were beaten 3-1 by league leaders Oxford Ladies 2s.

South Berks Ladies 2s v Oxford Ladies 2s

Trysports Premier 2

Sonning Ladies 2s continued their dominance on the division and remain unbeaten after seven matches, beating Marlow Ladies 4-0 to earn their sixth victory of the campaign with a three point lead on their nearest challengers. 

MBBO Regional 2

Sonning 1s and South Berkshire 1s stay locked on points at the top of the table, with Sonning leading their rivals on goal difference. 

Sonning played out their first draw of the season, earning an away point against Marlow 2s in a 4-4 draw. Ian Finlayson, Nick Leach, James Manser and Jonathan Sharp netted for the visitors. 

South Berkshire went level on points at the top after they beat West Hampstead 2s in a close contest 4-3. Sam Fuentes-Moreno scored twice, while Ben Dudley and Tom King scored the other two to give South Berks a crucial three points.

MBBO Division 1

Sonning 2s were defeated in a 10 goal thriller as visitors Phoenix & Ranelagh 1s took the points with a 6-4 triumph. Steve Crowther bagged a hat-trick and Colm Hanlon scored the other in the defeat.

MBBO Division 2

South Berkshire 2s stay unbeaten as league leaders of the division after they claimed their seventh victory of the campaign with a 2-0 away win at Windsor 1s. Michael Amor and Mike Longson got on the scoresheet to earn three more points.
