THE Holt School in Wokingham secured a 99.4% pass rate with its A-level results this year.
Co-Headteachers Anne Kennedy and Katie Pearce said: “We are very pleased with another excellent year of A Level examination results. Our students were a great year group who worked very hard and are fully deserving of their success.
“There were many instances of individuals who did exceptionally well; many of whom exceeded their target grades. In addition, 13 students achieved at least three A or A* grades and a further 14 students achieved at least two A or A*s.”
With 8.9% of results coming through as A*s, 30% A*s and As, and 61% between A* and C passes, the school is delighted.
Lara Dowling, Megan Watkins and Laura Burrows will all be heading off to Nottingham together, to study Maths, Architecture and Medicine.
Laura said: “I’m just glad it’s all over! It’s a big relief. I would hate to have to do the application for Medicine all over again…”

The girls mentioned how they will be spending the rest of the summer preparing for life at university, shopping for utensils and trying to secure accommodation for when they start in a month’s time.
Ella D-Abreo, Faye Lancaster, Sophie Windsor and Emily Atkinson were happy to see their hard work had paid off, and said they were all looking forward to what the future will hold.
“We wish all our students the very best as they move on to university, apprenticeships or employment and would like to thank them for their hard work, commitment and contributions they have made to the life of the school over their time here,” the co-headteachers said.
They also gave their thanks to the dedicated staff at the school and the parents for their continued support “which we have very much appreciated”.
