The identity of a new business that has chosen to open its doors in Wokingham town centre has been revealed.
The unit in Peach Street that was home to Millets until December 2023 is being refurbished, and will soon reopen as a private health clinic under the CEDA Healthcare brand.
The company currently operates private GP Clinics in West Byfleet, Sunningdale, Reigate, Harley Street and Farnham.
It provides a full range GP services including doctor appointments, blood tests, travel and menopause clinics, ear wax removal, hearing tests and hearing aids, varicose vein surgery, joint injections and sexual health clinics.
A spokesperson for the company told Wokingham Today: “We are looking forward to opening in Wokingham within the next month or so.
“We believe there is a lack of private GP surgeries in the area, which is why we have chosen Wokingham.
“Some of our customers are already travelling some distance to visit us, so providing our services closer to them is a natural move, and a response to demand.”
Millets took the decision not to renew its lease on the property when it expired last year.
