As often as possible we volunteer at Lakeside Residential Home, Whiteknights Road in Earley, assisting staff and their new activities co-ordinator Sarah.
The residents are pleased to see familiar faces coming in for a chat and eagerly gather to find out what we have planned for them.
During February/March we will be making Easter cards, organising a quiz and having a coffee and cake morning. We are always looking for new ideas.
In their pretty garden we have planted a white peace rose with a plaque commemorating the anniversary of the end of the First World War.
Three of the residents braved the cold to celebrate with us.
