A CHARITY event in Slough has been so successful that a group is now looking to bring it to Bracknell.
The Rotary Club of Easthampstead, which meets on most Monday evenings in The Coppid Beech Hotel in Binfield, is backing the first-ever Bracknell Together Walk on Sunday, July 7.
The event will take place in the area around South Hill Park and aims to ape the Slough Together Walk, which in recent years has raised more than £20,000 for local charities.
The event is aimed at all ages and abilities and is a 5km stroll (or power walk!) along wheelchair friendly paths (with dogs welcome) and is now open for early online registration.
With stalls and refreshments available, and some entertainment, this is a perfect event which welcomes voluntary groups including schools and scouts to generate funds for themselves. And their charity fundraising can be boosted with cash prizes from the organisers.
For more details go to www.easthampsteadrotary.org scroll through the home page events to Bracknell Together Walk and register direct via the South Hill Park website.
And remember, every penny raised goes to the charity of your choice … with a chance of more.
Bracknell Together Walk 2019 is sponsored by Avis Budget Group in Bracknell and run in partnership with South Hill Park.
Easthampstead Rotary Club’s motto is Working with the Community for the Community and visitors and new members are always welcome.
