MORE THAN 200 residents took to the Arborfield cricket pitches for a fun-filled event which featured a wide range of cuisines and drinks.
ENGAGE, the village’s events committee, held its inaugural Oktober FoodFest on Friday giving visitors the chance to try produce showcased by local food vendors and breweries, with an Oom-pah band providing the entertainment.

Engage’s Chairs Sophie Ames and Melanie Incledon-Hunter said: “The event was really well-received with lots of positive feedback from residents saying there’s nothing like this in the area, and how important it is to keep the community coming together.”
Residents sat down to enjoy their orders well into the evening, taking in the atmosphere with family, friends and neighbours.

Both Sophie and Melanie said they were “proud” of how the event had gone and with the turnout, promising to return with an even bigger and better offering next year. In fact, a date has already been set for October 25, 2024.
