Roads in Bracknell are set to benefit from a multi-million-pound resurfacing and maintenance programme.
Bracknell Forest Council has a £7.712 million programme to maintain its extensive road network.
Of that, more than £4 million is being spent on road surface replacement and treatments to properly maintain the highway.
A programme of the works that the council’s highways department will undertake was agreed by its ruling Labour cabinet at the meeting on Tuesday, March 16.
Andrew Hunter, the council’s executive director for place, was keen to point out that more than 70 per cent of the £7.712 million has come from external sources.
A majority of that has come from Department for Transport grants, with the council also spending £2.2 million of its capital budget on the programme.
