A number of road and lane closures will be in force on the M4 next week.
Thankfully for motorists, the works are not taking place during peak times and all road closures will be overnight.
There are drainage and verge survey works between Junctions 5 (Slough) and 11 (Wokingham/Reading). These will take place Monday to Friday between 9pm and 6am until the end of the month.
During the surveys, there will be lane closures in place on both carriageways (towards London and towards Wales).
New street lighting is being installed between Junctions 11 and 12 The new LED bulbs that are being installed mean that lane closures will be in place on both carriageways between 9pm and 6am from Monday, May 16 until the morning of Thursday, May 19 (three nights work).
And the work to prepare Calcot for the new Ikea continues at Junction 12.
There is ongoing work to resurface the A4 and the junction 12 roundabout as part of the Ikea development, which opens in July.
There will be overnight closures of ALL slip roads to the junction between 10pm and 5am until Friday, June 10. The works take place Monday to Friday only.
During the works anyone wishing to access the A4 from the M4 will need to use diversions in place from junctions 11 and 13.
