A masseur who sexually assaulted multiple women at a Wokingham spa has been given a suspended prison sentence following a Thames Valley Police investigation.
Ibrahim Ali, 36, of Percy Place in Datchet, was sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Monday to two years in prison, suspended for two years. He was also handed a 40-day Rehabilitation Activity Requirement, ordered to complete 350 hours of unpaid work, made subject to a 10-year Sexual Harm Prevention Order and told to pay £500 in compensation to each of seven victims, totalling £3,500.
Ali had pleaded guilty on 10 September at Reading Magistrates’ Court to five counts of sexual assault by touching.
The offences took place between November and December 2024 while Ali was working as a masseur at Nirvana Spa on Mole Road in Sindlesham. Police said he assaulted five women who had booked appointments for back and foot massages.
He was arrested in December 2024 and initially charged with four counts of sexual assault in July this year. A further charge was added in September, and two additional victims later came forward.
Investigating officer PC Chloe Palmer praised the victims for their courage.
“I want to pay tribute to the bravery of the victims in coming forward to report these crimes and for remaining engaged with the police from the start to the end of the investigation,” she said.
PC Palmer also acknowledged the cooperation of Nirvana Spa, noting the impact the case has had on the business.
“I hope this result showcases how committed Thames Valley Police is in investigating, supporting and preventing violence against women and girls,” she added. “This case highlights our determination to hold offenders accountable and to protect women and girls from harm.”
Thames Valley Police urged anyone who has experienced sexual assault to come forward and seek support. Information on reporting and available services can be found on the force’s website.
