WOKINGHAM Film Society members will see a film made by Danish film director Niels Arden Oplev.
Rose is based on Opley’s own two sisters, one of whom was diagnosed with schizophrenia 40 years ago.
It tells the story of two sisters, Inger and Ellen, whose relationship is challenged when they travel to Paris by coach.
Inger announces her mental health struggles to the entire coach-load of passengers, receiving pity from some and discrimination from others.
And once in Paris, she reveals a hidden agenda concerning a figure from her past, which ultimately involves the whole party in her hunt for answers.
Rose can be seen at The Whitty Theatre, Luckley Road, on Thursday, March 20.
Doors open at 6.45pm, with the film starting at 7.30pm.
Tickets cost £4 for members, and £6.50 for non-members.
