Wokingham MP Clive Jones has a new role in the Liberal Democrat front bench team in parliament.
Tuesday’s reshuffle by leader Sir Ed Davey saw Jones appointed as a whip for his party, having previously been trade spokesperson for his party.
He told Wokingham Today: “I am pleased to have been trade spokesperson for the party for the last year, and enjoyed working closely with our deputy leader Daisy Cooper.
“I’m looking forward to undertaking this new role as a whip and supporting colleagues in their roles as MP’s”
Commenting on the reshuffle, Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey, said: “Our expanded front bench team will take the fight to Nigel Farage, and stop him turning Britain into a version of Trump’s America.
“I am so proud of our whole team of 72 Liberal Democrat MPs who are working tirelessly to deliver real change, stand up for our communities and hold this Labour government to account.”
