A MUGGER stole a motorbike from a busy car park in Woodley. Now police are appealing for witnesses to come forward.
The incident happened in the Crockhamwell Road car park next to Waitrose in the shopping precinct, around 10.40am on Saturday, May 11 – the busiest day for the town, as it includes a weekly market.
The victim was parking his motorbike, a Ducati Diavel 1260 worth around £17,000.
He was approached by mugger who demanded he hand over his keys.
The thief is described as a white man, in his late twenties, of a slim build and around 5ft 8ins in height.
He was seen to be wearing a black hooded top and blue denim jeans with a balaclava. He rode off without a helmet.
Thames Valley Police’s investigating officer, PC David Wrigley, said: “I am appealing for anyone with information about this incident to please get in touch.
“At this stage of the investigation, I would like to reassure the public that this appears to be an isolated incident and officers are working to identify and locate those involved.
“Also, if you have any CCTV footage in the area or any dash-cam footage if you were driving in the area around the time, I’d also ask that you check any recordings in case it has captured something that could assist our investigation.
