Housebuilder Taylor Wimpey has donated £500 to Wokingham Town Football Club’s under-8 Leopards as part of their sponsorship of the team.
The donation has gone towards the purchase of a new kit for the team which forms part of the club’s umbrella of youth teams.
The sponsorship is part of a series of donations to organisations and events near to the housebuilder’s The Evergreens development in Wokingham.
The new kit was unveiled last month, with the club’s players now sporting the new designs during their competitive fixtures.
By backing local clubs, organisations and initiatives, the housebuilder aims to strengthen community spirit and encourage participation in sport from a young age.
Emma Watson, senior sales manager at Taylor Wimpey West London, said: “We’re delighted to show our support of Wokingham Town under-8 Leopards by providing funding for their new kit.
“Community sports clubs play such a vital role in bringing people together and giving young people the opportunity to grow through teamwork and activity.
“It’s wonderful to see local talent thriving, and we’re proud to be part of their journey.”
Adam Crosby, team manager, added: “I would like to thank Taylor Wimpey for their very generous donation to the team.
“All of the players have been delighted with the new kit, and it makes a big difference to the team.”
