A new cafe has opened in one of the most prominent Wokingham town centre locations this week.
Honesty welcomed its first customers on Tuesday to the courtyard space in Wokingham town hall.
Speaking to Wokingham Today, owner and founder Romilla Arber said: “We’re not here to blend in — we’re here to belong.
“We want this space to feel like Wokingham’s living room.
“Bring your dog, bring your gran, bring your book club – everyone’s welcome.”
She added that she’d had her eye in opening a Wokingham branch since first visiting the town a few years ago.
The dream only became a reality when the space was vacated by the previous tenant at the start of 2025.
Honesty is “not just another coffee shop”. Its ethos is based on real food and real values.
Romilla added: “We will change our offerings based on the seasons, but our key message will remain.”
“With our no fluff, no fakery approach, you’ll find no hidden nasties, no additives, no corporate spiel.
“Just good coffee, good food and good people.”
